The Battlefield 6 open beta is coming to a close, marking players’ final opportunity to try the game before it officially launches on October 10, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Beta Schedule and End Times
- Weekend 1: August 7 (early access) – August 11
- Weekend 2: August 14 – August 18
Both beta weekends end at 1:00 am PT / 4:00 am ET on their respective final days.
The first beta weekend drew over 500,000 players on Steam and nearly 900,000 concurrent viewers on Twitch, making it one of the most-watched Battlefield events in recent years. After August 18, the next chance to play will be the full launch — unless EA hosts another surprise test.
Gameplay Highlights
Battlefield 6 brings back the classic class system with four roles — Assault, Recon, Support, and Engineer — along with fan-favourite modes like Conquest, Breakthrough, and Rush. New additions include Team Deathmatch, Squad Deathmatch, and Escalation, a tactical mode where teams fight to capture and control key points on the map.
The game will launch with nine global multiplayer maps, including Siege of Cairo, Empire State, and Manhattan Bridge. The Tactical Destruction system returns, letting players reshape the battlefield in real time, while the new Kinesthetic Combat System improves movement fluidity. A Drag and Revive mechanic also enhances squad support gameplay.
